Gambia: Kairasu Federation Concludes Tour in CRR

Kairasu Federation, a local organization based in Jambanjelly village in Kombo South District, West Coast Region, recently concluded a three-day excursion tour in the Central River Region.

Kairasu is an affiliate of ChildFund The Gambia and are involved in child sponsorship among other philanthropic missions.

The Federation and some of their sponsored children visited Brikamaba, Janjanbureh and other historical places in the region.

Speaking to this reporter, the Sponsor Relations Officer of Kairasu Federation, Buba Jatta, dilated on the importance of taking children to the Central River Region at early age, adding that it is important to learn one's history.

Jatta emphasised that helping children to learn about history will help them acquire vital information which they can share with their sponsors.

Kairasu Federation's aim is to empower children and the youth as well as sponsor needy students in the district.
