Gambia: BAA Marathon Race Slated for Saturday

The 2013 Brikama Athletics Association (BAA) marathon race is billed for Saturday 19 January 2013 in Brikama in Kombo Central, West Coast Region.

According to the president of the BAA, Lamin Camara, the marathon race is organised to scout good athletes and form a formidable West Coast Region athletes team that will challenge other regions in various competitions in the country.

Camara added that the marathon race will feature two categories, namely male 15km and female 8km race respectively, and registration is open to all athletes in the country who want to participate in the race.

Camara stated that the BAA will also provide vehicle for the participants coming from Kanifing Municipality and its satellite areas.
