Nigeria: Scrap Govs Forum, Danger to Democracy

The Festering crisis rocking all the political parties in the country, especially, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has been attributed to the Governors' Forum taking unpatriotic decisions that are inimical to the development and growth of democracy in the country.

A PDP chieftain in Adamawa State, Chief Seth Crowder, told pressmen in Abuja

Thursday, that unless the Governors' Forum was scraped, the country, the political situation would continue to record hiccups because the forum has been organised along a faulty selfish basis that is totally out of tune with the yearnings and aspirations of the people that voted.

Crowder, said the Governors' Forum has constituted itself into an 'undemocratic forum' that was frustrating well meaning developmental efforts in the country.
