Gambia: Mauritanian Leader Acknowledges President Jammeh's Message

Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz, the president of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania has written to the Gambian leader, His Excellency, Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr Yahya Jammeh, acknowledging his congratulatory message on the occasion of the 52nd Independence Anniversary of Mauritania.

The message reads:

It is with great honour and pleasure that I received your message of felicitations on the occasion of the 52th Independence Anniversary of my country, the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation to you for the kind gesture.Let me take this opportunity to extend my best wishes to you and the brotherly people of The Gambia for the New Year.

Please accept Mr. President, the assurances of my highest consideration.
