Eritrea: Anseba Region - Endeavors Exerted Towards Expanding Educational Outreach Described Commendable

Keren — The Education Ministry's branch in Anseba region indicated that endeavors exerted towards expanding educational outreach have brought about commendable outcome.

Mr. Hagos Adhana from the branch office disclosed that the opening of new schools has given rise to increased school registration, and that a noteworthy achievement has been registered regarding female participation in education, especially in elementary and junior level. He further called on the inhabitants to extend a helping hand pertaining to enhancing the impact of educational facilities and ensuring their judicious utilization.

Accordingly, 2 Elementary schools, 2 Junior schools and 3 High schools have been opened in the region during the current academic year.

Reports indicate that there exist a total of 225 schools in Anseba region.
