Sudan: Student Resists School Raid, Shot Dead By Militia in Central Darfur

El-Khalaw — Pro-government militiamen shot dead a 14-year-old student who tried resisting a raid the group carried out in his school in El-Khalaw, Deleij locality, Central Darfur, on Wednesday 16 January.

Mousa Mohammed Abbeker Muhajir was killed on the spot with four bullets to his chest after he refused to hand over his possessions to the perpetrators, a female relative of his told Radio Dabanga.

The relative said that a pro-government militia group had invaded a school for Koran at Katool area, east Deleij and ordered all students to give them their money and mobile phones.

Muhajir was transported to Deleij and buried there on Wednesday, his relative reported.
