Uganda: Why We Should Listen to Otunnu

Uganda People's Congress (UPC) President Olara Otunnu is one of the opposition politicians I profoundly respect.

The many often disparaging remarks directed at him by his detractors and the politically uninitiated, and the power squabbles in his party notwithstanding, I still hold the view that Otunnu is one of the few opposition politicians in the country who truly understand the problems of Uganda today, how to get out of them. I also believe Otunnu is genuine in his aspirations for a better Uganda.
