South Africa: Should We Forget About Ever Getting the Truth About The Arms Deal?

press release

The allegations against the integrity of the Seriti Commission points to never reaching an end in the arms deal scandal. Years and years go by, witnesses die and some forget details.

The allegations that the Seriti Commission is not transparent, that facts are manipulated and withheld from Commissioners and that there is a second agenda come from a man who has acted as a judge and cannot, he says, in all good conscience, pretend to be blind to what is actually going on in the commission. Could this man be a liar?

It simply points to the public never getting the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth about the arms deal scandal.

Mr JH van der Merwe, MP, IFP Justice Spokesperson.
