Nigeria: Defence Headquarters Organises Skills Acquisition for Officers Wives in Kebbi

Wives of Soldiers of 1 battalion Nigeria Army, Birnin Kebbi, are currently benefitting from a two weeks intensive Skills acquisition training programme organized by the Defence Headquarters, Abuja, in conjunction with Hedge Worth Nigeria Ltd (skills acquisition based organization) .

The programme, which is aimed at empowering solders wives and sibling is to enable them become self reliant during and after their husbands disengagement from service.

In his speech at the opening of the two weeks workshop, Navy Commodore Orok I. Asuquo, who represented the Chief of Defence Staff charged participants to make maximum use of the training to advance their knowledge of skills and development by feeling free to make maximum use of facilities available to them during the course of their training.

Commodore Asuguo also thanked the Defence headquarters for choosing battalion, Nigeria Army, Birnin Kebbi, for the programmes among several other Army formations across the country.
