Johannesburg — The Angolan national senior males football team players are ready to face Morocco on Saturday, in Soccer City Stadium, in Johannesburg, for the first round of Group A of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON2013).
This was said by the coach of the national senior males football team, the Uruguayan Gustavo Ferrin, who spoke at a press conference on Thursday ahead of Saturday's game.
According to the coach, the players are ready to face this first challenge, including the goalkeeper Lamá and the striker Manucho Gonçalves (who recovering from an injury).
"We are convinced because of the work we did throughout the preparation period. (...) The opponent is one that must be respected, but we have our own arguments", he said.
Gustavo Ferrin assured that his players are in good physical shape for this competition.
"The results of the preparation are part of the training programme, now in the competition we'll work seriously to face Morocco", he emphasised.
Angola is in Group A with South Africa, Cape Verde and Morocco.
