Angola: Going to Afcon Without a Coach for the Goalkeeper!

The Palancas Negras have no coach guards in their staff for Afcon. A situation that their former coach Luis Oliveira Goncalves does not understand. He openly criticized the decision.

"This is a position that requires specific trainings. The goalkeeper needs to spend more than 80% of his time working alone and needs a coach to do that, "said Gonçalves.

Gustavo Ferrin, the current head of the team, selected Lama and Landu Neblu as three walls of the workforce.

"What is even stranger is that Angola has no worries in this area and I do not understand why they did not include it in the staff. Goalkeepers may be prepared, "he added.

Luis Oliveira qualified and trained in Angola during his only qualification for a World Cup. He is currently vice-president of club Santos FC.

Angola begin their competition on Saturday against Morocco in group A. A pool they share with Cape Verde and South Africa.
