Gambia: Jatta's, Sanchaba United Are Winners in Lamin

Jatta's FC and Sanchaba United have been recently been crowned Knockout and League champions of the Lamin Sports Committee respectively.

Jatta's FC beat KGH Sports Academy by a goal to nil in the Knockout final played at the Late Sanna Jatta Memorial Field last Friday to emerge champions.

Lamin Darboe scored the only goal of the game for Jatta's FC midway into the second period of the game from a long range shoot.

As winners, Jatta's FC went home with a trophy and a cash prize of D15,000, while KGH Sports Academy received a consolation prize of D10,000 as runners-up.

In the league final played last Sunday, Sanchaba United hammered Jatta's by 3-0 to be crowned League Champions.

Sanchaba United, as winners, collected a trophy and a cash prize of D20,000 while Jatta's FC as runners-up received a cash prize of D15,000.

Prior to the finals, the Lamin Sports Committee staged a Miss Nawetan competition for the teams that took part in the nawettan competition.

The contest was won by KGH Sports Academy and as winners they went home with a cash prize of D1,000.

Sanchaba United came out second position and were given a cash prize of D800.

Jatta's FC took third position and they received a cash prize of D500.

Each participating team was also given a cash amount of D500.
