Ghana/Gabon: Coach Duarte of Gabon Backs Ghana

The Black Stars have what it takes to win the tournament in South Africa having watched all of Ghana's warm-up matches for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations, said by Coach Paulo Duarte. He also admitted that Ghana can win the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon).

"Why not? Ghana every year is a favourite. They have a good team, good young players and with quality so why not?"

The Black Stars dismantled Egypt in a 3-0 friendly win and again witnessed the great comeback in the 4-2 win over Tunisia match watched by ex-Burkina Faso coach. On Wednesday Ghana team will arrive in South Africa where they will immediately move to their base in Port Elizabeth.

In four days Black Stars will play their Group B opener against DR Congo before facing Mali and Niger in the subsequent group games later.

Ghana's team is aiming to win this game for the first African title in 31 years in South Africa.
