Uganda: Julian Kanyomozi Warns Her Fans About Internet Scam

Ugandan musician Juliana Kanyomozi has warned her fans about an ongoing internet scam where her Facebook account (with her photograph and name) have been used by unidentified internet-based fraudsters claiming that she is in distress and therefore needs urgent financial help.

Using her official Facebook account, Kanyomozi's management advised her fans to ignore those messages and treat them with the utmost contempt they deserve.

"Please be informed that there is a group of unscrupulous individuals who have opened up Facebook accounts using the name and photographs of Juliana Kanyomozi the musician," the message reads in part.

"The public is therefore warned and alerted not to send money or any form of gift in this regard," the statement which was signed off by management says.
