Morocco Namli's Injury Scare

The Morocco camp is in a scare before the start of Africa Cup of Nations after their midfielder Mehdi Namli tore his cruciate ligament during their friendly match against Wits University.

According to the Federation of Royal Moroccan Football Moghreb Tetouan's player will not play in Afcon due to his injury and head coach Rachid Taoussi has already dialed up a replacement in Abd Elilah Al Hefezy to their camp.

"Namli's injury shocked us especially as it happened only two days before the tournament. It happened last Tuesday at our last friendly match and it was confirmed on Wednesday when the team doctor told us the bad news" Rachid Taoussi told Supersport.com.

The Atlas Lions will play in group A with Angola, Cape Verde and the hosts South Africa and will open their drive for the cup with Angola.
