Angola: Minister Shows Openness to Intervention in Mali

Angola's Foreign Affairs Minister, Georges Chicoti, on Friday here expressed Angola's openness to a casual material or financial assistance to the military intervention meant to support the Mali's authorities to fight the rebel forces, Angop learnt.

The Government official said so when speaking to press, before a meeting with the chairperson of the African Union Commission, Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, that is in the country since this morning for political consutation.

The situation in Mali is worrying, but the African continent congratulated with the opportune intervention of France in Mali.

"Angola shares and supports this intervention and certainly in the set of the decisions, that will be taken and if it is necessary a financial and material assistance and Angola will think about it", he said.
