Angola: Land Reserves Cleared Out

Kuito — At least 80,000 metres of land reserves designed for constructions of social houses in districts of the central Bié province are free from landmines, following the demining operation carried out by National Demining Institute (INAD) in 2012.

This was disclosed Friday to Angop in Kuito by the head of department of the institution, Bernabé Frederico.

He underlined that INAD cleared out the landmines reserve of districts in Chinguar, Kamacupa, Katabola, Kunhinga and Nhârea.

According to him, this will enable the government to fulfil its plan focussed on construction of residences for residents.
