Angola: Circulation in 'Comandante Loy' Ave Interrupted

Luanda — The Government of Luanda province (GPL) has announced that car circulation has been suspended in Pedro de Castro Van-Dúnem "Loy" avenue, in the urban district of Kilamba Kiaxi, for the installation of a flyover for pedestrians.

The information was released Friday in Luanda by the provincial director for Road Traffic, Jorge Bengui. He said that the airborne bridge will be installed across a stretch of the road new the SONANGOL fuel station, which will block car circulation for a 24 hour period.

According to the official, the measure is intended to ensure the pedestrians' safety, improve traffic in the area and reduce run-over.
