Tunis — The creation of a national council of social dialogue enjoying administrative and financial independence "guarantor of a tripartite active and permanent dialogue" was a key recommendation of the social contract signed last January 14 between the Government, the Tunisian General Labour Union (UGTT) and the Tunisian Union of Industry, Trade and Handicrafts (UTICA).
