Egypt's Ministry of Health said on Sunday that scuffles that broke out on Saturday between residents and the police by Shubra's police station left four people dead and 12 injured, including two police officers and one army recruit.
A number of residents had clashed with police forces late on Saturday in protest against the accidental killing of a man during a police operation.
The figures reported are the cases admitted to hospitals, said an official from the Health Ministry as reported by the Middle East News Agency.
Qaliubya forces have enhanced their security measures to prevent escalations from taking place.
