THE Director of Criminal Investigation (DCI) Robert Manumba is still in a critical condition at the Agha Khan Hospital in Dar es Salaam.

The Police Force spokesperson, Ms Advera Senso, told the 'Sunday News' that "The DCI is still admitted at the hospital receiving medical treatment," she said.

A statement from State House issued to the media on Friday stated that, "During the visit at the hospital, President Jakaya Kikwete was informed by the hospital administration that Manumba needed close attention from doctors and nurses."

It was established on Friday that the DCI was taken from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to a special room for medical examination.

Several leaders who visited the DCI on Friday are the Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner, Mr Saidi Meck Sadiki, Minister for Home Affairs, Dr Emmanuel Nchimbi and his deputy Mr Pereira Ame Silima.
