Rwanda: Police FC Targets Away Win At Espoir

Primus National Football League contenders Police FC have set themselves a target of finishing at the top of the table standing with a win over Espoir, in a rescheduled game to be played today in Rusizi.

Police, who are a point behind table leaders SC Kiyovu and with a game in hand, jumped from fifth to second poaition in their last 1-0 victory over AS Kigali, last weekend.

Initially, today's match was supposed to be played a fortnight ago but was cancelled following a road accident that claimed the lives of four police officers.

And now coach Goran Kopunovic is confident his side has the potential of securing a win to end the first round in top spot.

Espoir, placed tenth with 14 matches has been very entertaining playing at home, a feat which has seen them win four matches in 12 matches played this season.

The second round is due to begin on January 26.
