Kenya: Gidi Gidi - the Unbwogable Remix Is Illegal

Rapper turned radio personality, Gidi Gidi is not happy with the unauthorised remix of his monster hit Unbwogable with Maji Maji.

Gidi told Word Is he first learnt of the remix "On Saturday, we got calls from friends and members of the public asking if we had sold the rights to Unbwogable because they had heard a song that sounds so similar to it at the Jubilee Rally.

"We then inquired more details about it and were informed by sources that the song is actually a Jubilee party campaign song that is being used at its rallies and has no similarity with Unbwogable and has been sanctioned by TNA Party."

The radio Jambo presenter added, "We then contacted the artiste behind it who told us that his song is original. We have since contacted TNA party who have promised to get back to us on this. So at the moment we are waiting for their reply before deciding on the next action to take."

On the TNA Twitter account, the handler responded to Gidi Gidi's queries writing, "@GidiOgidi your concerns have been noted, thank you."
