Kenya: Actor Eddie Kimani Relaunchs Actor's Platform

Actor Eddie Kimani will be re-launching the Actors Monologue Challenge, a platform to showcase Kenyan acting talent on January 29 at Club Sylk, Nairobi.

Actors Monologue Challenge brings together actors at various levels of their craft to perform and challenge each other live on stage showcasing their skills in front of a live audience and industry professionals.

16 pre-selected actors/actress's have been lined up to compete against each other by presenting three-minute monologues. Three professionals from the entertainment, performing arts and production industry will judge them and the champion gets to walk away with the trophy and Sh7,000 amongst other prizes. The winner will then proceed to defend his/her title in the next edition.

A special category will be presented where eight audience members who will have registered on a first come first served basis before the beginning of the event will perform and the audience will select the best actors/actress.

The event is organised by Act Right Production with the aim of challenging local actors and fostering a supportive yet lively environment.
