Kenya: Kosgey, Kamar, Kosgei Get ODM Nomination

ODM completed its nominations in most areas in the North Rift where most of the party top leaders were given direct nominations.

The party will today issue nomination certificates for its other aspirants in Eldoret and neighbouring counties of Pokot, Marakwet, Keiyo, Nandi and Trans Nzoia.

In Eldoret Prof Margaret Kamar went in unopposed to contest the Uasin Gishu governor's seat while in Nandi ODM chairman Henry Kosgey was nominated unopposed to vie for the senator's position.

Agriculture Minister Dr Sally Kosgey was also been nominated to defend her Aldai seat on an ODM ticket. The party did not have stiff competition for its nominations in the region. Kamar, who has been the Eldoret East MP, said she was confident that ODM will perform well in the elections.

"We are sure we will do well because the party is strong in the region", said Kamar. In Turbo constituency ODM's David Songok was picked to represent the party.
