Kenya: Ongwae Wins ODM Ticket in Kisii

FORMER PS James Ongwae yesterday clinchéd ODM's ticket for the Kisii governor seat. Ongwae garnered 47,075 votes against his only rival, former Bomachoge MP Ferdinand Obure, who had 11,448.

Public Works minister Chris Obure and his Foreign Affairs counterpart Sam Ongeri were nominated unopposed for the post of senator on ODM and TNA tickets respectively.

Mary Otara got 27,847 votes to win the Kisii women representative's seat. She was closely followed by Brigid Ombati with 20,466.

In Nyaribari Chache, Chris Bichage won the ODM ticket while Trade assistant minister Manson Nyamweya won in South Mugirango.
