Kenyan Chef Showcases Swahili Cuisine On Dubai TV

Kenya's chef representative in the International Hall Of Fame, Ali Said Mandhry was invited to cook live on DubaiTv with Chef Osama el Sayed on his show Ma Osama Atyab.

Chef Ali who is back from Dubai said that the show aired on the January 3. He told Word Is, "I have been lucky to do another Swahili episode with my mentor chef Osama.

The (first) Swahili episode has been on demand by his viewers and they had to have me back in Dubai again for a one hour Swahili episode dedicated to coastal delicacies."

He added, "The show illustrated the authenticity of Swahili dishes that are mostly infused in coconut milk and the eating habits of the people in the Kenyan coast."

Chef Ali who is also the brand ambassador for Kericho gold tea and spokesperson to Jamii flour by TSS Grain Millers said he took with him the products from the two companies to showcase authentic Kenyan products. His dream is to make Swahili and African cuisine amongst the top international known cuisines in the world.
