After speculation that Jamaican singer Mavado had vowed not to set foot in East Africa he has refuted the claims.

Reportedly he and Chris Martin have a show confirmed on Easter day in Uganda. Last year the two had been scheduled to perform in Uganda but the show was canceled.

The show was supposed to take place on December 29 but according to a tweet from Mavado, he seemed to be complaining of air tickets and the Uganda show clashing with one in Nigeria.

"Unfortunately the show was tagged with a show in Nigeria and they let us down financially and with plane tickets. They are out of the picture now,"read one of his tweets.

The event is sponsored by Uganda Breweries Marketing and those who had purchased tickets plus those with complimentary tickets will still get to use them on that day.
