Nomination process in Kajiado county was yesterday characterised by confusion. TNA voters queued for long hours before they started voting.

Members who turned up in various polling stations had not voted by midday because ballot boxes had not arrived.

TNA officials kept contacting their head offices in Nairobi for direction.

The Cord alliance that brings together ODM, Ford-K and the Wiper primaries had not started by 1pm. The alliance's officials said they were experiencing "logistical problems".
