Egypt: Foreign Minister - Egypt to Attend Three Summit Meetings, No Date Set for Morsy's Visit to Washington

In a flurry of diplomatic activity, Egypt will attend three summit meetings in the coming period, said Foreign Minister Mohamed Amr.

Egypt will participate in an economic summit in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and an African gathering in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia this month, said Amr in statements to diplomatic editors on Thursday 17/01/2013.

Egypt will also play host to an Islamic summit in Cairo in February, the Minister said.

Answering a question about President Mohamed Morsy's visit to Washington, Amr said preparations are under way for setting a date for the trip with respect to the Egyptian president's busy schedule and the situation in the US and its new administration.
