The just-concluded Calabar carnival witnessed for the first time the presence of the ever growing South Korean entertainment and culture, popularly referred to as Korean wave.
The 6-man K-Pop dance team, put up by the Korean Cultural Centre from the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Nigeria, was comprised of Nigerian young stars who have been taught the skills of Korean Pop music, displayed their mastery of K-pop dance through the 12 kilometer walk that took off from Millennium Park and terminated at U.J Esuene Stadium Calabar .
Among songs performed was the popular Gangnam style by Psy.
The Team was also accompanied by the Director of Korean Cultural Centre Nigeria -Mr. Kwon Yong Ik.
