Nigeria: Jonathan - Our Security Is Under Control

President Goodluck Jonathan had assured Nigerians and international community that the country is in control of the myriad security challenges befalling it.

Jonathan, who was represented by the Minister of State for Defence, Mrs Olusola Obada, gave this assurance at the decoration of 55 new two-star generals drawn from the Army, Navy and Air Force, even as he warned that he would not tolerate any act of disloyalty by them.

The decorated senior military officers includes 22 Major Generals from the Nigerian Army, and their equivalents of 19 Rear Admirals from the Nigerian Navy and 14 Air Vice Marshals (AVMs) from the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) .
