Uganda: Makerere University Set for 63rd Graduation

Kampala — Uganda's oldest university Makerere University is set to hold its 63rd graduation ceremony this week starting Tuesday.

Over 12,400 students are expected to graduate from January 22 to 25. Of these, 6,588 are male and 5,821 are female.

But not everyone will be in the celebratory mood as over 650 students have not been cleared for graduation due to retakes, missing marks and accumulated fees owed to the university.

Those left out from the list will have to waitit for the 64th graduation ceremony in January 2014.
