Tanzania: Pinda Donates 10m/ - to Help ATC Students

Arusha — PRIME Minister Mizengo Pinda has donated 10m/- to 10 students who performed well in their final examinations at Arusha Technical College (ATC).

Speaking in Arusha , ATC Principal, Dr Richard Masika. said the premier's decision was a good gesture that could encourage more students to develop interest in studying science subjects.

The PM's donation will equally be given to students (five boys and five girls), depending on how they excelled in the examinations. Dr Masika has invited leaders and other well wishers to emulate Mr Pinda's example, because the country still needs more experts in science subjects.

"The world of science is moving fast and we need to encourage our young men and women who are interested in science subjects," said Dr Masika. Students who will each receive one million shillings are Florence Kihundo, Justine Lwekoramu, Hamisi Selemani, Edwin Sostenes and Daudi Hassani. Others are Elinaike Mtei, Raudha Mwasha, Beather Rutelano, Shamilla Ally and Leokadia Donald.
