Tunisia: UGTT Warns Against Proliferation of Violence, 'Uncontrollable Militias' - Statement

Tunis — The Tunisian General Labour Union (UGTT) said it is continuing its contribution to designing the future of Post-Revolution Tunisia despite the "attempts of destabilisation".

In its statement on the celebration of the 67th anniversary of its inception (January 20, 1946), the UGTT warned against the proliferation of violence and "uncontrollable militia," citing, in particular the leagues for protection of the revolution.
