THE Head of Kiromo Primary School has applauded Airtel Tanzania for its contributions to education following good performance of standard seven students at the school this year.
Kiromo performance overall results has this year rose by nine per cent, while the number of students who enrolled for first class in 2013 also rose. Airtel Tanzania through 'shule yetu' programme adopted Kiromo Primary School located in Bagamoyo in Coast Region.
The school was refurbished and supported to rebuild new classrooms, a library, set a modern computer room, received donation of books and the change of the school environment to be of desirable to students and teachers at Kiromo.
The school has total number of 670 pupils. Speaking about the school's success, Kiromo Primary School Headteacher, Mr Nasiri Pangahela said "my school has achieved great success, including an improved academic performance, amongst 58 pupils who sat for standard seven exams last year, 41 have been selected to join secondary schools, that is an increase percentage from 63 per cent last year to 72 per cent.
