Rwanda Opens With Egypt

RWANDA men's basketball team starts the defence of their Zone V qualifiers title against former champions Egypt in the opening match of this year's tournament, which starts today in Dar es salaam, Tanzania.

During the draws made last evening, Rwanda was given a tough group which comprises of Egypt, Uganda and hosts Tanzania. Group B is made of only three nations namely Kenya, Burundi and Somalia.

The women's team will engage in round-robin qualifying phase since only six nations namely Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Burundi and Egypt managed to send their teams.

In the women category, hosts Tanzania will entertain Kenya in the first game.



Kenya vs Burundi 1pm

Tanzania vs Uganda 4pm

Rwanda vs Egypt 6pm


Tanzania vs Kenya 3pm
