Rwanda: Youth V-Ball Team Wins Warm-Up Game

Rwanda Youth Volleyball national team defeated Algeria's league B side El Fanar 3-1 in a warm-up match played in Setif on Saturday.

Youth team showed the strong character in winning the first two sets 25-16 and 25-18 before El Fanar secured third set with 25-19.

Rwanda, preparing for the forthcoming Africa Youth Championships, proved their dominance by taking the fourth set 25-15.

After the match, Coach Jean Marie Nsegiyumva expressed his satisfaction with the progress of his team.

He said, "Team has been progressing very well in training and so I have hope they will do better in the championships."

The draws for the tournament will be held on Monday in Setif. The competition is slated for 22nd-1st February and the winner of the event will qualify for the U17 world Cup.

Teams that confirmed participation include host Algeria, Rwanda, Egypt and Tunisia.
