Gambia: Real De Banjul to Kickoff Title Defense With Banjul Derby

Real De Banjul kick-start their title defense against Banjul Hawks in a clash that will rev up the long existing capital rivalry, and stirring up the derby, the pulsating fixture is to be held at the rejuvenated KG5 mini-stadium on Saturday.

Real De Banjul faces Hawks in the opening fixture and Real will hope to extend their fine tune in the pre-season when Alagie Sarr faceoff with coach Sang Ndong - all former Gambia internationals.

Real snatched victory from the jaws of defeated mauling Young Africans in a crazed league final day to scoop the title. Striker Modou Njie Sarr who won acclaim for his fifteen league goals will pray for similar fortune to repeat.

Bakau United takes on last season runners-up Armed Forces at the Serrekunda East mini-stadium while Brikama United grind it out with Young Africans at the Brikama boxbar mini-stadium all on the same day.

Gamtel face Steve Biko in Banjul and Samger crosswords with Sea View at SK East with Ports Authority slugging it out with Interior.

Wallidan plays second fiddle football this year for the first time since the club inception along with Serrekunda United.
