Egypt: Prime Minister - EGP 635 Million Worth of Urgent Financing for Improving Railways

Prime Minister Dr. Hisham Qandil has decided to provide EGP635 million as an urgent financing for developing railway services. He said stringent measures will be taken against negligence of workers adding the safety and security systems of the railways will be reviewed.

This came during the Prime Minister's meeting with Minister of Transport Dr. Hatem Abdellatif. A cabinet statement said the number of tourists visiting the Red Sea and Luxor rose by 15% and 22% respectively compared to last year.
