Kenya: Eric Omondi for Stand Up Africa in Johannesburg

Stand Up Africa, the comedy show that brings together Africa's finest comedians will feature Kenyan comedian Eric Omondi among other renowned comedians.

Set for February 1- 2 in at the Lyric Theatre in Gold Reef City, Johannesburg, Stand Up Africa has not only become one of the most important comedy brands to emerge from the continent, it is already one of the biggest.

It has proven to be such a unifying success that requests have been received to take the show to Zimbabwe, Uganda, Nigeria and Kenya.

Eric told Word Is, "The feeling is great. I have always wanted to share a stage with the big names in African comedy and this is it. Not just for a few minutes but for two days."

Eric will be sharing a stage with Nigerian superstar Basketmouth, Carl Joshua Ncube from Zimbabwe, Salvado from Uganda, South Africa's Kagiso Lediga and Daliso Chaponda from Malawi.

The comedy show seeks to unite Africa in voice, expression and laughter and coincides with the biggest continental sporting showcase this year.
