Tunisia: El Kef Protests Continue

Some 150 El Kef citizens marched on Saturday (January 19th) towards the governor's office to protest regional marginalisation, poverty and unemployment, Tunisia Live reported.

El Kef has more than 22,000 unemployed residents, including 5,000 university graduates, according to Abdelkader Trabelsi, the region's governor.

The protest follows the El Kef general strike last Wednesday, when some 5,000 people responded to the call of the Tunisian General Labour Union (UGTT).
