Egypt: Police Car Burns Amid Renewed Scuffles in Alexandria

Scuffles resumed between protesters and security forces on Sunday in front of the courts complex in Alexandria.

The protesters set fire to a police car, the security forces responed with teargas bombs to disperse the protesters, reported Aswat Masriya's correspondent.

The Alexandria Criminal Court announced on Sunday that it will step down from the case of killing protesters during the uprising. It decided to refer the case to the the Court of Appeal.

The plaintiffs objected to the court's decision to hear the defendants before allowing them to plead after the report of the fact-finding committee.
