Nigeria: Katsina Treats 40,000 Pregnant Women

Katsina — Katsina State government treated over 40,000 pregnant women last year under its programme of free-mobile ambulance service scheme, the Permanent Secretary of the state's ministry of health, Dr Ahmad Qabasiyyu has said.

Speaking at the launch of free-mobile ambulances service scheme on Friday, Qabasiyyu said a total of 100 gave birth under the care of the scheme last year.

He said, 490,000 patients from all the 34 local government areas of the state have been treated under the programme during the year under review.
