Huambo — At least 3.1 million school manuals were distributed free of charge to students from the first to six grade in 2012 in central Huambo province, under a Ministry of Education's initiative to stimulate the sector's development until 2015.

The information is contained in a note from Huambo provincial department of Education.

According to the source, the students from the first to six grade were supplied with manuals for each subject, which greatly contributed to improve performance last year.

On the other hand, the source added, 53,600 students from 117 primary schools from 11 municipalities of the province were supplied with school snacks in 2012.
