Egypt: Switzerland Willing to Help Egypt Retrieve Looted Funds

Switzerland wants to help Egypt retrieve all its smuggled funds from Swiss banks, said Swiss Ambassador here Dominik Furgler.

Egypt's courts must issue rulings confirming that the money deposited at Swiss banks were illegal, Furgler said on the sidelines of signing a framework agreement for technical cooperation with Egyptian Planning and International Cooperation Minister Ashraf el-Arabi.

A meeting will be held next week in the Swiss city of Lausanne between Egyptian and Swiss experts to discuss the issue, he said.
