Gambia: Serekunda London Corner Disaster Committee Boosted

Jumbo Company Limited has recently donated some household items to the Serekunda London Corner Disaster Committee, at a presentation ceremony held at Alkalo Sidi Jobe's compound in Serekunda. The donated items, meant for disaster victims in Serrekunda, included buckets, coolers, bath pans, cups, among other items.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Alkalo Sidi Jobe said that the donation was a clear testimony of patriotism; that a good citizen should work for the development of his or her country. He opined that rendering support to the disaster committees is a necessity because the support goes back to the needy.

For his part, Mustapha Touray, the secretary general of the Disaster Committee, commended Jumbo Company for the gesture.

Millow Savage, of Serekunda London Corner, thanked Karim Faal of Jumbo Company for the continous support they are rendering to the disaster victims, and called on other organisations and companies to emulate Jumbo.
