Egypt: PM, Investors' Federation Discuss Increasing Investments

Prime Minister Dr. Hisham Qandil met on 20/1/2013 with a delegation of the Egyptian Federation of investors, headed by Mohamed Farid Khamis.

The federation has a membership of 42 investors associations overseeing about 40.000 factories and institutions.

The meeting comes within the framework of efforts by the government to push investment activity, increase operating rates, and solve the problems of investors in order to increase employment opportunities.

Qandil asserted that the Egyptian economy has possibilities and opportunities that can enable it to recover.

The Prime Minister asked the attendees to inform him about proposals they have to push the economy forward.

For his part, the federation president, asserted that the purpose of this meeting is to deliver a message of solidarity with the government in its move to tackle the economic imbalances.
