The trading at the Uganda Securities Exchange (USE) opened on Monday, Jan. 21 with Stanbic dominating the day's trading, recording the largest amount of traded shares at the Kampala based bourse.
The official trading figures released by the USE indicate that the bank traded over 3mn shares recording sh78mn in turnover. The bank's share price remained in the range of sh20 and sh25. DFCU's counter traded 9, 245 shares recording sh9.2mn in turnover while Baroda traded 18, 000 shares recording sh4.5mn in turnover.
Other counters did not trade. The market recorded 3, 169, 385 as the total number of traded shares with turnover recorded at over sh92million. There were several offers and bids posted on most counters.
