THE Bank of Africa (BoA) Tanzania has awarded ten out of 238 customers who entered a 'deposit and win' draw ran by the bank to promote the culture of saving.

The Bank's Regional Branch Manager, Mr Nelson Mgonja, who presided over the draw at the weekend at the Kijitonyama Branch in Dar es Salaam said many had participated and were eligible but only ten scooped awards.

"There were many customers who took part and were all eligible but since it is a lucky game, only ten have been lucky. Winners are mainly small scale traders and entrepreneurs," he said.

The winners include U.J. Mwihome and V.J Sasa who scooped Iphone 4s, Wu Hua Huang who scooped Blackberry, Said Seif, a voucher to buy fuel, Joinven Investments Tanzania Limited a voucher for shopping, Mohamed Mzava an Spa service and Shija Munawwar who won dinner vouchers.

Mr Mgonja noted that conditions for small traders to win were to have not less than 1m/- in their accounts and in one month increase the balance to 3m/-. He added that at the entrepreneurs category, customers were supposed to have not less than 50m/- in their accounts and in a month deposit not less than 100m/-.
